NVS Eligibility criteria for Admission

NVS Admission Eligibility

NVS has mentioned an eligibility criteria for admission to Class VI, IX & XI. All the students needs to read the admission criteria before applying.  Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria only need to fill the application form. 
Eligibility criteria for admission to NVS in all the classes (i.e. VI, IX & XI) is as follows-
  • Candidates must belongs to the district from where the JNV school belongs.
Class VI-
  • Candidate age limit must be in age group 9 to 13 years (Applicable to all categories).
  • Students must have qualified class V from a recognized board.
  • Candidates should not have appeared  JNVST test earlier.
Class IX-
  • Candidates age limit must be between 13 to 16 years as on 1st May of the year of admission (for all candidates).
  • Candidates must have studied class VIII from govt./ Govt. aided recognized school.  
Class XI-
  • Candidates age limit  must be in age between 14 to 18 years as on 1st July of the year of admission.
  • Must have qualified class X from a recognized board.
  • Must have reasonable competency in English and Hindi.

About Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS)
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Resource Development, Government of India. NVS runs a network of alternate schools for merit students of India called as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs).
These schools were started with the main motto to find the talented children from rural areas of the country and provide them quality education to compete with the best of best in the country. These schools are run as co-educational and fully residential schools and are affiliated to CBSE.
There are Total 661 JNV's across the country. The allocation of schools with respect to each state are as given below.

Every year admissions are conducted to VI, IX and class XI. Admission to class VI and IX are made through a selection test called JNVST (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test). Whereas admission to class XI are done through lateral entry based on merit in class X.

NVS has uploaded the result of the computer based examination that was conducted from September 16 to September 20, 2019, for the recruitment of Assistant Commissioner, PGT, TGT, Legal Assistant, Staff Nurse, Catering Assistant and Lower Division Clerk. Candidates who have appeared the exam can download the Answer Key from the below Link

5.You will see new page appear on the screen 
6.Enter your credentials and log in
7.View the answer key and you can download the document for any future reference
